Outlook CRM 2011 - not return any Service Endpoints

$

Hi, I've installed CRM 2011 - on W2K8; the web site is working fine; I can connect from LAN.

Now on a W7 client I try to install the Outlook connector.

As the server url I entered: http://myserver:5555 and I click on "Test Connection" button; the form is populated with the correct user, organization and display name but when I click on "Ok" button I receive the following error:

There is a problem communicating with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server. The server might be unavailable. Try again later. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.

The IIS CRM site has the anonymous authentication enabled and I can access from the client the following url without problems:http://crmserver:5555/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc

Below is the log file:

Managed Security Roles are deleteable imported by Managed Solution

Hi Experts,

I am using CRM 2011 On Premise. I included an Entity and a Security Role in my solution on Dev Environment. I exported as a Managed solution to import it onto TEST Org. I cannot delete managed entity as expected but I can delete managed security role from TEST org. Is it a correct behaviour? I have System Administrator role assigned to me.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I migrated crm 2011 from crm 4.0. Plug-ins from crm 4.0 are working on crm 2011 well. I read that sdk of crm 4.0 is unsupported on crm 2013. Do i need to registered plug-ins rewrited for crm 2013 in crm 2011 before upgrade?

or i can upgrade crm 2013 from crm 2011 and update plug-ins later (which are writing with sdk of crm 4.0)?

Thanks

Hi Expert,

Today, we are facing with this problem. They cannot login to the CRM. So that i checked the event viever. Error message is shown

Current active key (KeyType : CrmWRPCTokenKey) is expired.  This can indicate that a key is not being regenerated properly.  Current Active Key : CrmKey(xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, ScaleGroupId:00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000, KeyType:CrmWRPCTokenKey, Expired:True, ValidOn:07/22/2011 10:08:21, ExpiresOn:08/24/2011 10:08:21, CreatedOn:07/22/2011 10:08:21, CreatedBy:NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE.  Key Setting :

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

So that i found the solution http://www.mohamedibrahim.net/blog/2009/06/18/ms-crm-key-generator-error-invalid-action-microsoft-crm-4-error/ and http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en/crmdeployment/thread/9c25603a-e21b-4d69-9680-f20b5e407a12

When i check "Microsoft CRM Asynchronous Processing Service"the it is stoped. We can use after the start the service. Good Luck for me :D

What is my question?

Can anyone tell me, why do we got this error? Is it actually expiry or bug? If it expiry, do we need to renew license? We are using EE version and 5 Organization.

Kindly, advise to me.

Best Regards,

Questions on multi-tenant environment and access to CRM (CRM 4.0)

$

Hi,

I've been reading the planning and deployment guides for service providers, but I'm still a bit confused about how customers actually would access CRM. Let's say you have a SP that host both CRM and Exchange and has 2 types of customers.

Customer A has his own mail solution. Can he install the Outlook client, if they have Exchange , on their computers to access CRM? How do the users log in to the CRM?

I assume users at customer A  can use the web client also using a URL like this: https://customerA.crm.serviceprovider.com

Customer B has an Exchange account with the SP. If he has access to Outlook, using Citrix, I assume he can use the Outlook client?

Can he use Outlook Anywhere with the Outlook client using RPC over HTTP?

Is the Outlook client available in Outlook Web Access?

A fall back would always be the web client using https://customerB.crm.serviceprovider.com.

Any other methods of accessing the CRM in a multi-tenant environment that I've missed?

For both customers I assume that the e-mail router should be used? (as this is recommended in the docs...)

We are doing a fresh install of CRM2015 on a (VM) windows server 2012 R2 with SQL 2012 SP1.

The installation seemed to work all the way up until it gets to the part where it's trying to create the organization; The installation throw an error regarding an opportunity revenue rule workflow.

CRM 2015 with ADFS on Server 2012 for internal and external users - single sign on and page not found

Hi,

I'm configuring ADFS with CRM 2015 for claims based authentication, following this blog post:

http://www.interactivewebs.com/blog/index.php/crm/how-to-set-up-crm-2015-ifd-on-windows-2012-and-adfs-3-0/

My setup is slightly different as I have:

- CRM web server (CRM configured to run from port 444)
- SQL Server
- 2 x ADFS servers load balanced with NLB and WID

I've followed the blog post, used a wild card public SSL cert and configured the SPN to use a service account (rather than server name as the blog mentions)

I have 2 issues:

1 . When internal users browse to https://internalcrm.contoso.com:444/ they're prompted for a username and password before getting Dynamics access. How can I configure this for SSO?

2. When I try to access the "external" URL (which points back at my same CRM server), https://authcrm.contoso.com:444/
I get a 404 Page cannot be found after the user is authenticated.

There are no errors in the event logs. *.contoso.com is in the trusted sites section of the IE.

Thanks in advanced

Action Microsoft.Crm.Tools.Admin.SetTokenKeyAction failed. Name translation: Generic processing error. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80072115) while installing CRM 2013

Hi all,

I'm currently migrating from CRM 2011 to CRM 2015. But because it's not possible to directly migrate an organization from CRM 2011 to CRM 2015 I tried to install CRM 2013.

I first ran the installation on a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard with a SQL 2012 all on the same server. During installation of the new default organization I ran into this error:

Action Microsoft.Crm.Tools.Admin.SetTokenKeyAction failed. Name translation: Generic processing error. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80072115)

I tried googling the error to determine whether I could ignore this or that I had to fix this. I couldn't find anything about this error so I tried to ignore the message and continue the installation. I figured I didn't need the organization anyway. A few steps later the installation ran into some other problems, at that point I could only abort the installation.

The installation seemed successful, I could open the deployment administrator and I could see the failed organization. I removed it and tried to install the report extensions so I could import the organization I want to migrate. During installation of the report extensions I ran into this error during system check:

Name translation: Generic processing error. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80072115)

I was not able to resolve the error so I tried reinstalling CRM, this resulted in the same errors. After this I tried reinstalling the entire server, this time I set it up with Server 2008 R2 and SQL 2008, this also resulted in the same errors. In both cases SSRS was working, I could access it and add folders and reports. I tried giving the involved service users administrator privileges, this didn't work either.

At this point I tried everything I can think of, is there anyone who ran into the same problems and knows a way to resolve them? Or is there anyone who knows of a different way to migrate an organization from CRM 2011 to CRM 2015?

Configure IFD in Front End server without impact for Users

Hi,

I have installed CRM 2013 in Full Server Roles with separate SQL Server. Now I would like to configure IFD . So I have placed 2 different servers(NLB) in DMZ with Front end server & Deployment Manager Role(by connecting with same DB) installed. Now I have 1 Full Server, 1 DB Server and 2 FE server in DMZ. I would like to configure IFD in front end server Deployment Manager. But I would like to configure this without disturbing the current Internal CRM users accessing the CRM. How to  configure this IFD in FE without having any impact on the current internal CRM Users?

Changing/Redirect CRM 2013 IFD URL to new URL after deployment

Hi,

I have configured IFD in CRM 2013 based on Orgname.domain.com. But now the client want to change the name to crm.domain.com. How to change/Redirect the CRM IFD URL ?

1 Option is to take the backup of existing orgname DB and creating new org name as crm and restore the orgname db. Then transferring the solutions and creating sub DNS for the name 'CRM'.

Any other options for this to change or redirect the CRM URL?

If I just create a DNS in the name of 'CRM' same like orgname. Will it works for crm.domain.com ?

Thanks

Federation Services Single Sign-on with SharePoint not Working if I log into CRM First

I have both Dynamics CRM 2011 and SharePoint 2010 using ADFS 2.0 for claims authentication integrated together using the CRM List Component. If I visit SharePoint first, then visit CRM, I am not prompted to log in again. However, if I log into CRM first then I visit SharePoint or have an iframe into SharePoint on a CRM form, I am redirected to the ADFS log in form by SharePoint. Are there additional requirements for ADFS to provide a single sign-on instead of prompting for credentials twice or ways that I could diagnose the issue?

Global catalog not found error during installation and/or Deployment Manager

$

Hi there,

I'm having a real problem trying to get CRM 2011 installed and operational.  On a new machine, I've logged in as a Domain Admin and have run the installation wizard and pointed to a new SQL Server where there are no existing CRM databases.  Essentially, I always get the same error of "Global catalog not found in forest".  I've tried this both in the installation wizard as well as trying to create a new organisation via Deployment Manager.  I've tried various ipconfig /flushdns and /registerdns but without any luck.  The service accounts are domain accounts and I've been able to use SETSPN via command window (using Windows Server 2008 R2) and it is able to talk to AD to list any SPNs associated, so I know the server can definitely see the AD and also the installation wizard let me navigate the OUs to get to the place where security groups are meant to be.  I've also checked to see if there is stale data in the AD.

As far as I can tell AD is OK and perfectly visible from the CRM installation server.  Yet, this is the error that is reported every time:

17:25:22|  Error| Installer Complete: OrganizationCreator - Error encountered
17:25:22|  Error| Exception occured during Microsoft.Crm.Tools.Admin.OrganizationCreator: Action Microsoft.Crm.Tools.Admin.ProvisionBusinessAction failed.
InnerException:
Microsoft.Crm.CrmSecurityException: Could not find GUID for server ---> System.DirectoryServices.ActiveDirectory.ActiveDirectoryObjectNotFoundException: Global catalog not found in forest "mycompany.local".
at System.DirectoryServices.ActiveDirectory.GlobalCatalog.FindOneInternal(DirectoryContext context, String forestName, String siteName, LocatorOptions flag)
   at Microsoft.Crm.SecurityUtils.GetGuidFromServerName(String serverName)
--- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to how I can further troubleshoot this?  Is there some sort of test I can run that represents what ProvisionBusinessAction is attempting to do?

Many thanks

Autonumber issue in custom entity

Hello Team,

We have implemented auto number functionality through plugin in custom entity. Logic is working perfectly when a single request triggers to server. If multiple requests are reaching server on the same time, same auto number is setting with all the requests. Can expect any resolution on the same.

The encryption certificate cannot be accessed by the CRM service account

I'm trying to install CRM 2016 onto a new server, and upgrade an existing CRM 2015 organization in the process.

I'm getting this error during the System Checks step of CRM Setup: "The encryption certificate '(certificate here)' cannot be accessed by the CRM service account."

I have no idea what that means since I see no security settings that I can configure in the Certificates interface.

This is running on Windows Server 2012 R2 with SQL Server 2014 Standard. I took the organization database and the MSCRM_CONFIG database from the old server and restored them onto this server so I could upgrade those databases during this installation. I also installed the certificate from the old server to the certificate store on this new computer.

I recently changed the service account to be local administrator of the machine, but still get this same message from the CRM Setup.
